Sleeps 4 | 2 bedrooms | 2 bathrooms | 2 dogs | Parking | Woodburner

Tornahatnach is a beautiful 19th century cottage perfect for holidays with family and friends throughout the year. Accessed via a farm track, this dog-friendly self-catering cottage enjoys panoramic views of the Scottish hills and countryside. Yet it is in walking distance of Home Farm Cottage and Brow Cottage and around one and a half miles from Brae Morlich. So if you’re planning a group holiday with friends, you can book a cottage each (collectively they sleep up to 22 guests). It’s dog-friendly too, so you can bring your pooch. With so much to explore from the moment you step out the door, Glenkindie Estate really does make any idyllic rural retreat.

The Cottage

The front door opens into a light and spacious hallway. To the left is the lounge, with two sofas and a Freeview TV. Perfect when you want to watch a movie or catch up on your favourite soaps without being disturbed.

To the right is the open plan living/dining/kitchen area. A wonderful social space to spend quality time together. There’s comfy chairs to curl up on in front of the woodburner (logs are included). The dining table comfortably seats four and the well-equipped kitchen has all the utensils, crockery, glassware and cutlery you’ll need to make snacks and meals during your stay. There’s an electric hob and oven, fridge freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster and other appliances including a dishwasher and washing machine. There’s also a downstairs shower room with a large walk-in shower, sink, WC and towel rail.

Upstairs is a double bedroom with a dressing table and beautiful views as well as a twin room family. Both have sloping ceilings that add to the charm of the traditional cottage. Beds will be made up with fresh, quality linen, so you can relax in comfort at the end of a busy day.

The first-floor family bathroom has a bath with shower over, sink, WC and heated towel rail. Towels are provided. A stairgate is available if you have small children.

There is oil central heating throughout so you’ll stay nice and toasty whenever you stay at Tornahatnach. Plus there is WiFi, so you can stay connected whilst you’re here (if you want to that is).

This peaceful haven has its own large private garden, perfect for children to play in – there’s even a sloping bank to roll down. You can relax on the garden furniture in the seating area and simply take in the views – the perfect start or finish to any day. During the warmer months you could even enjoy some al fresco dining in the tranquil surroundings and watch the dark night skies.

There is private parking space for two cars.
